This one hour workshop will equip you and your child (ages 4 through 5th grade) to connect to God's Spirit within and to each other through simple stress releasing games, movements, breathing practices, prayer and meditation.
No yoga experience or flexibility needed. You will leave with take-home tools to enjoy the blessing of a few short family yoga practices to share at home, at school and anywhere.

Cathy Norman is a Hatha Yoga instructor (RYT 200) and has studied mindfulness and meditation practice through her yoga training and the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8 week course. She completed her certification course to teach mindful yoga to children and families (Budding Yogis) in the summer of 2015. Cathy designed the Roots and Wings workshop/classes integrating her background in Children's Ministry and yoga. She is excited about connecting these beautiful spiritual practices for everyday family spiritual growth.
Sandra Bultema has been regularly practicing yoga for the last 3 years. Sandra has worked as a PALS tutor for Loudoun County Public Schools and has been teaching and leading through Crossroads Children's Ministry for the past 5years. She has enjoyed teaching yoga to children and families at Crossroads this summer. She completed the Roots and Wings Yoga for Kids and Families Teacher Training in June of 2016.
