Paralyzing Fear

July 6, 2014

"Hope and Fear cannot occupy the same space. Invite one to stay." ~ Maya Angelou

Today's Scripture: 1 John 4:17a, 18

  1. What is your earliest memory of being afraid?
  2. What are you most fearful of now? (Rejection, loneliness, failure, loss of a loved one, sickness, loss of job, not having enough...money, love, security?)
  3. Have you ever felt paralyzed by fear? Is so, describe your fear and how it paralyzed you.
  4. Reflect quietly on how fear and worry are connected.
  5. What might give you enough hope to begin to let go of your fear?
